A small Fort Worth startup, composed largely of former Bell engineers and managers, has proposed what it says is a low-cost way for the Army to upgrade its fleet of scout helicopters while significantly improving performance, safety and combat capability of the aircraft.

Following an extensive test programme - Sinterflo F Metal Filters from Porvair Filtration Group have been selected by the US Army Aviation Engineering Directorate Propulsion Hydraulic Team (AED) at Fort Rucker Alabama for installation across their fleet of AH-64 (Apache) and UH-60 (Blackhawk) helicopters.

Kazakhstan has decided to open its airspace to U.S. military aircraft ferrying supplies to American troops serving in Afghanistan, it was decided on Sunday at a meeting between President Barack Obama and his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev in Washington.
