Taiwan tracks 9 Chinese naval ships, 8 military aircraft

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) tracked nine Chinese naval vessels and eight military aircraft around Taiwan between 6 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 18) and 6 a.m. on Monday. Of the eight People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, four crossed the Taiwan Strait median line in the country’s central, southwestern, and eastern air defense identification zone (ADIZ), according to the MND.
