Ukraine destroyed a Russian MiG-31 jet and two cargo planes in an attack on a military airfield deep inside Russia earlier this month, according to Ukrainian media. A further five Russian aircraft were damaged in Ukrainian drone attacks on the Savasleyka military airbase in the Nizhny Novgorod region east of Moscow, several Ukrainian outlets reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed sources in Kyiv's GUR military spy agency.
