Turkey renews F-35 bid as US signals openness after Kaan fighter progress: defense minister

Turkey is seeking to rejoin the F-35 program as the United States shows signs of a potential shift in policy, following Turkey’s progress with its homegrown Kaan, a fifth-generation fighter jet that made its maiden flight in February, Defense Minister Yasar Güler said, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
